After nearly ten years providing quality jazz guitar products to Australia, JGA is shutting down to focus on other areas (including playing more guitar!).

One of the founding principles behind our business is to offer high quality items at prices that are competitive worldwide.  For many years Australian prices have been far more expensive than those in other parts of the world (particularly the US), so we are trying to combat that by offering a modern retail experience.

We are an online business, which means the savings that we have in overheads such as running a physical store, allows us to pass items onto you at a vastly discounted rate.  Many of the popular US online music stores operate in a similar manner, which is how they keep their prices down.

Whilst you cannot walk into our shop, you can still see the items we have listed on our site.   We also strive to have customer service (and email reply times!) that are the best in the industry, combined with no-nonsense, non-pushy advice on our products and how they could help you.

As we deal in a large number of product lines, we often may not have something in stock.  If you don’t see something listed on our site that you’re interested in, please get in touch for a no obligation pricing and availability quote.

How to Order/Shipping Info

All of our items listed online can be bought via sending us an email.  We accept bank deposit, Paypal, cheque, money order and Credit Card.  If you would like to pay via these means or inquire about any other ordering information or products, please send us an email.
All of the prices listed on our site include free shipping Australia wide for that item!  90% of our items are shipped via Registered and Insured Aus Post, but for some larger items we need to ship via insured courier.  Extra requests such as Express Post can easily be accommodated, you just need to get in touch for a quote.  Pickup may be available on some larger items on request.
Buying a couple of items at a time will also usually result in a lower postage fee for us, so if you’re planning on grabbing a couple of things, get in touch and we’ll see what we can pass onto you!
We also recycle as much packaging material as possible, whilst ensuring all of our items are safely packed.  Packaging is a hugely wasteful industry, so in the interests of the environment (and keeping costs down for everyone), the more we recycle, the better!
From time to time, we also buy used equipment, particularly archtops and other ‘jazz’ guitars, amplifiers and effects.  If you have something you are looking to sell, or are on the look out for something specific let us know.

 

Pricing

Due to the constantly fluctuating relationship between the Australian dollar, and the US Dollar, Pound and Euro (our main sources of stock), prices on some of our items often change.  We will do our best to reflect this on the site, but sometimes we can’t manage to update everything all the time.

We are more than happy to discuss pricing on our items, and are happy to try and price match US prices (inclusive of real shipping costs and Customs/GST if applicable).  Sometimes this isn’t possible due to certain circumstances or manufacturer imposed minimum sale prices, but we think you’ll be impressed with our prices compared to the ‘big guys’ in Australian music retail.

 

Returns

One of the dangers of online shopping is the inability to try before you buy.  To combat this, we offer a 2 week return policy on 95% of our items (a few microphones are non-returnable for health and safety reasons).  If you’re unhappy for any reason during this time, you can return the item for a full refund, minus shipping costs (both ways).  This keeps everyone happy!

The only catch is that we reserve the right to ensure the item is in exactly the same condition on return as when it left.  If an item is returned with obvious signs of use, damaged/incomplete packaging or documentation or damaged itself, we reserve the right to offer a partial refund or refuse refund altogether.
